How You Can Feel Good About Yourself

3. Volunteer Work: It is no secret that one of the best ways to increase your own self-esteem is to focus on others. Not only will you feel great about your contribution, you get to add value to others who truly appreciate what you offer.

4. Attend Church Services Regularly: Studies have shown that people who attend church have healthier outlooks on life, tend to be in better shape, and live longer lives. 8. Take care of your posture: Walk with confidence. Your body gestures influence your moods. Hold your shoulders erect, your back straight, and your head up high. 12. Take care of your health: Start eating healthier foods and exercising when fighting low self esteem. When your body feels strong and healthy, low self esteem weakens. This is a great activity for those who like to experience immediate results.

13. Record your own CD or audio you can listen to in your car or at work: You should capture all of your accomplishments and successes to listen to whenever you need a reminder of how special you truly are.

14. Take up a hobby or learn a new skill via an online or life-long learning course: This allows you to expose yourself to a new group of people all starting from the same place and focused on learning and growing and improving just as you are.

There are plenty of activities you can try for building self esteem. You are only as limited as your imagination. The main idea, however, is to move into action. Never forget taking action is one of the best strategies for building self esteem.
