Hard work towards a college degree

The goal I was working towards was attaining a Masters' degree. This was a somewhat difficult goal to achieve, because I was working full time and trying to juggle my job and school, as well as regular family and household duties. I had to make up the time at work that I missed being in class so I was usually crunched for time.
I got my ultimate inspiration from God. Having a relationship with God put everything in perspective and gave me a peace and comfort when I was stressed, and encouragement - when I felt I couldn't complete my goal.
Another inspiration to me was the desire to succeed. I knew once I completed my goal of getting a Masters' degree that I would have more career opportunities open to me, and the ability to make more money to provide for my household.
I eventually did complete my Masters' degree, after several years of hard work, and was given a promotion at my job where I not only make more in salary, but also have more recognition and seniority.
Probably most importantly, I felt a great sense of accomplishment, helped by God and the drive to succeed that were so inspirational to me.
I learned that with hard work and determination, combined with having a relationship with God, which kept me grounded and focused on what is really important in life, that you can accomplish your goals.
I would advise someone working towards a similar goal to work hard and not give up, but also to focus on your spiritual life because that is really what is most important in life and what truly matters.
