Making Small Tasks Out of Big Ones

I had to sell my house during the worst of the housing market crash. It needed a lot of repairs and overhauling before any real estate agent would list it.
I had only a month to paint the entire interior, replace all the very aged flooring, and do a deep clean. My biggest challenge was that I was also working full time!
I tried to make a mad dash at it, but lost all my confidence and initiative. I was reduced one night to just staring at the walls, beaten.
Then, I decided to do just one little thing. I painted the smallest wall in the house. And, then I stopped and relaxed for the rest of the night.
The next morning, that wall looked so good, and I felt so refreshed, that I finished painter a much bigger wall that day.
As each day went by, I built up the time I spent working on the house, and started multi-tasking as it became clearer what I need to do.
At the end of the month, I had accomplished it all and was able to sell the house very quickly!
