Motivated from Discouragement
by Zabs
It was my dream to ride a scooter. When I was in my teens, I used to ask my parents for permission to go to a driving school to learn and then obtain my license to ride a scooter.
Unfortunately, they were over-protective and denied me permission. Since I had no work or any source of income, I was forced to obey them. Although disappointed, I did not argue with them.
After marriage, I still hoped to learn how to ride a scooter. I asked my husband. He purchased a scooter, but expected me to learn how to ride it in two days, because he was training me. Needless to say, I failed. My hopes faded, but I refused to quit.
Whenever I mentioned to my husband of my still burning aspiration to learn to ride a scooter, he would discourage me saying that I should have learned earlier, because now it was quite impossible.
I took up the challenge and with my own inspiration and determination to prove that I could learn to ride a scooter -regardless of my age - I went to a driving school by myself, paid the money, and started learning.
Over time, I acquired a Two-wheeler and a Four-wheeler license. I proved everyone wrong!
Now I can ride my scooter anywhere - rough roads, heavy traffic, smooth pave ways - all without fear.
From that day forward, I realized that our aspiration and determination is what leads us to success and every one of us should be determined first and then pursue your goal to be more successful.
