Funny Weight Loss Motivation Tip: Eat as much as you like--just don't swallow it. ~ Steve Burns

Finding motivation for weight loss isn't hard - if you're willing to listen to your inner signals. See, most people believe you have to subscribe to a set program for weight loss or they believe that only certain types of exercise and workout programs will work. Wrong! You simply must learn and tap into what you like.

On this weight loss motivation page, you are going to find weight loss tips and tricks to help you do just that - make your dieting and weight loss efforts as fun as possible, while motivating yourself to roll off the pounds like rain.

People say that losing weight is no walk in the park. When I hear that I think, yeah, that's the problem. ~ Chris Adams

First of all, lighten up about weight loss. No pun intended; but seriously, make it fun. If you don't, you'll have a longer, more difficult road to travel. Okay, let's get to it! Take note of physical activities that you love to do or that are easiest for you to do. For example, do you love music? How about walking? Maybe you do lots of housework, or you love outdoors? All of these things matter when you are developing or planning your weight loss strategy.

You also need to spend a week assessing the types of food you prefer to eat. Notice whether or not your eating habits are results of a busy schedule. Your next goal is to take note of the things you eat that have high calorie counts.

Consider all of these preliminary activities as motivation for weight loss. You're going to need to tap into it all. Every action, every strategy you develop all are for a single purpose - to help you lose all the weight you want.

Once you've completed your weight loss motivation assessment and developed your plan, it's time for action. However, to ramp up your motivation and add motivational fuel when you need it, the following tips should be followed:

Motivation For Weight Loss

motivation to lose weight
  • Don't kid yourself. You need to start viewing weight lose as a lifestyle change. Therefore, do not set a big weight loss goal. Start small - like 5 to 10 lbs in two weeks. Why? Because it's likely you didn't gain all of the weight you want to loss overnight, so don't try to enforce massive lifestyle changes to lose the weight quickly. Odds are, you'll probably gain in all back in no time. Your goal is to down those pounds and keep them off.
  • Don't just focus on your physical aspect of losing weight. Also, focus on your attitude and mindset. Remember, you're striving for a lifestyle change. I can tell you - as a fellow weight loss motivation student - if you're attitude and mindset isn't set for your plan - you will not achieve it. This is why you need to keep feeding yourself motivation and inspiration. However, the very best way to gain momentum to lose it all is to make small amounts of progress and build from there.
  • Be flexible. If something doesn't work, try something else. If that doesn't work, then try something else. Most importantly, don't force yourself into anything. Keep searching until you find the eating plan and phyical activity plan that works best for you. If you are like most people, you'll probably rely on a combination of things. It's all good. Just be glad you have plenty of options to chose from.
