My best self improvement resource discovery is reading books and it has really helped me a lot in improving my own life.

Since I'm working in the field of advertising and communication and always have to draft letters, write articles, etc... I used to find it very difficult. I used to take a lot of time to complete my job.

Sometimes, I used to feel myself demotivated to work. One of my friend, who works in another department, suggested when you do a lot of reading, you will notice a difference.

I started reading novels and any books could get my hands on. I used to read every day at night for one hour. I kept a Thesaurus and Word power guide with me and referred it whenever I came across a difficult word.

As a result of extensive reading, not only my word power has improved but now I'm able to do the job assigned to me fast. I find myself motivated to work more.

I feel very proud when my colleagues ask me to help them out in writing. Now, also, every day I make it a point to read. The latest book I'm reading is "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell. It is an excellent book about the story of success.

I will definitely recommend reading books to everybody as not only it helps in self improvement but also enhances our knowledge.
