My Motivation for Weight Loss
I was not always a heavy set girl, but after I had my first child at the age of 21, I started to become heavier and heavier.
I could never chase my daughter around or even do activities on the ground for long periods of time. I felt like a bad mother.
One day my daughter came to me and asked why I didn't play with her anymore. With her being the only child this broke my heart. She was my motivation to lose the weight that I needed to in order to be happy, healthy, and make my daughter happy.
In the first week of my diet I weighed myself on the scale. I weighed 260 pounds. I started eating healthier foods and playing with my daughter for exercise.
With just this little change I lost 10 pounds within the second week. After doing this everyday I loss a total of 90 pounds. I now weigh a total of 170 pounds. This whole process took me 6 months.
In those 6 months I definitely had some hard days. There were days where I didn't want to get out of bed and even days where I craved for a box of doughnuts. But my daughter would give me that look and I knew that she was worth a lot more than that box of doughnuts and extra sleep.
If I had to give advice to someone about losing weight, I would say find your motivation and stick to it. Make your motivation more important than anything else in the world and you will succeed.
