Rome Wasn't Built in a Day -- But You'd Be Amazed What You Can Do in Ten Minutes!

by Jenn
(San Antonio, TX)

I think people usually lose motivation when they become overwhelmed or bogged down in a situation.

When something seems too big to tackle, you don't even want to attempt it. It's important to take a deep breath before diving into a big, messy, or complicated task on your to-do list.

My best tip for self motivation is to set a timer on your watch or radio for ten minutes. Whatever you've been dreading maybe organizing your receipts for your taxes, or cleaning out your amazingly cluttered closet you can do for only ten minutes.

When your timer goes off, reassess how you feel. More than likely, you'll be astonished at the progress you've made in just that small chunk of time which will give you the energy, and more importantly, the confidence, to keep going.
