Self Esteem HelpHere's the Real Deal
Finding self esteem help is a personal matter. Therefore, do not buy any self esteem building products, try any low self esteem solutions, or follow any advice UNTIL you understand the following: building self esteem starts from within. Is Low Self Esteem an Epidemic?Truthfully, I hesitate writing this, because low self esteem is a huge deal and very concerning to me. In all of my years, I never imagined so many people needing help in this area. Nonetheless, here you are. I've been there, too. If you are like me, then you have explored the Internet scouring the many sites dedicated to providing information about self esteem. Low Self Esteem is Like an Onion. There are Many LayersHere is what I know. You should not decide your course of action without serious introspective review. It's great there are so many Sites providing self esteem help based on personal experience, along with sites offering professional advice. However, do not be immediately sucked in by any of this. Remember, you are unique with your own experiences, knowledge, and issues. Don't Let Your Vulnerability Be ExploitedI don't care what a person's credentials are or what personal experiences they offer - they cannot help you unless they fully understand YOUR circumstances and YOUR situation. Besides, you must be willing and ready to be helped. So, where does this leave you? It leaves you selecting and interpreting how to use self esteem advice and tools. You must figure out how to apply it all to your personal situation. You have to figure out what is working for you and what isn't working for you without doing more damage to your vulnerable ego. Sensitive and Touchy QuestionsOh boy. Here I am about to travel down a very sensitive and delicate road - so be gentle on me. Unfortunately, I feel this is necessary. I need you to carefully mull over the following two questions: How bad do you really feel about yourself? How long has it been going on? Please...really give this careful consideration. All Low Self Esteem Is Not Made EqualIt's one thing when low self esteem is triggered by events such as job loss, rejection, or some other circumstance or event. However, it's another if it runs deep - when you feel you can't improve on your own or if you feel totally hopeless and lost. If this is the case, you may be experiencing depression, which will require an entirely different set of solutions and/or treatments. Focus on the Help You Really NeedPlease - I need you to dig deep, before you decide your course of action. How strong are you? If you do not feel strong enough to make a self esteem help commitment or if you cannot dig deep enough to find the answers you need, then I suggest you seek in-person professional help. Maybe you can start by consulting with a Pastor, Minister, or Priest? You should also consider couselors, as well as professional doctors. Don't play around here. Your self esteem is too important. The Topic Many Prefer to Avoid, But I'm Going ThereOkay, I'm about to go down another sensitve path, but I'd be remis if I didn't share what primarily helped me. I turned to God. I worked really hard on building a personal relationship with him to help guide me along my course of action. From there, I've done or focused on everything I write about on this site. If I haven't used it or tried it, then I'm not suggesting or recommending it to you. Why Do You Have Self Esteem Help on a Motivation Site?Doesn't it seem odd that I've added a building self esteem section to a site primarily focused on motivation? I struggled and contemplated this decision. In the end, after going through a dark time in which I battled esteem issues, I decided if one suggestion or piece of advice helps someone else, then my time and effort are worth it. (Just in case your interested, my issues stemmed from an event during a crazy time in my life. I've included some if it on my About Page). Why You Should Keep Your Money in Your PocketKnow this - low self esteem is a serious matter, and because I believe you are definitely worth more than you know - you must be willing to provide yourself with the appropriate help you need. So - please be careful. Please think long and hard as to whether you are strong enough to use information over the Internet to help yourself (I don't care that people are raving about self esteem help, online communities, and products). This isn't about anyone else. It's about YOU. Therefore, focus on YOUR needs and do not fall prey to the desire for immediate relief. Improving your self esteem will not happen unless you give it time. So, don't be so quick to give your money away for products or advice that may not help you in the first place. I'm Not Bullshitting YouAt this point, I do not feel comfortable enough to recommend any products for building self esteem. To be honest, I've only used the Queendom test, which I think is great. If you've read any of my self esteem help articles then you know what else I've done. Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but I will - I am skeptical about many of self esteem products and services people are recommending over the Internet. I realize that good people may be recommending these products to help others while making a buck. However, when your self esteem is vulnerable it scares me that your hopes of feeling better can be raised only to cause you more damage in the long run, because the product or service didn't meet your need. Seriously, the thought makes me want to cry. Stick With FreeI strongly suggest you take advance of the many self esteem help articles for the varying perspectives they offer, but to keep your money in your pocket. Start by seeking professional help. Or, if you are strong enough to go it alone - find a self esteem role model. Mine is Oprah Winfrey. What she has been able to overcome and achieve in spite of dealing with self esteem issues is amazing. Can you learn to love yourself? Absolutely. All I am suggesting is that you plan your self esteem help for the results you desire. I truly believe that building self esteem is one of the best commitments you can make. Just remember - it begins and ends with YOU. May God Bless You. Kim Related Topics
