Self RespectHow Do You Learn to Respect Yourself?
So You're Flawed. That's Great!Have you ever noticed how arrogant people find no fault with themselves or how some people NEVER apologize when they are wrong. This is because some people never see themselves as wrong. Feel sorry for these types of people, because they do not understand that personal growth is a part of life. Everyone must continue to grow to evolve – to experience a better life. It amazes me when I run across a know-it-all who believes he/she has nothing left to learn. How sad. How You Respond Is EverythingLow self esteem is your reality; however, it is how you respond to your reality that really matters. If you are reading this then you have already shown you are smart enough and motivated enough to improve your situation. So how can you improve your self respect for building self esteem? Start by caring what you think about yourself. Stop giving away your control and personal power to feel good about yourself to others. Accept your flaws as a part of who you are. This is what successful people do. They understand strengths, weaknesses, and flaws. Then, they find ways to overcome deficiencies in order to lead the life they want. Your Privilege and RightAdditionally, find things to appreciate about yourself. I already know you are willing to look at the not so positive things about yourself. This is brave. Now become even braver. Have the courage to see the positive things about yourself. Then decide - decide to hold firm to the good stuff. Nobody can take away your positive self discoveries unless you let them. Be determined. Do not let anyone take away your good feelings about yourself. You deserve them. As you keep building self esteem remember; self respect means, appreciating yourself, valuing yourself, and having consideration for yourself. It's your privilege and your right. This is something to feel really good about. Related Self Esteem Articles
