Staying Positive
My best tool for self motivation is quite simply envisioning how incredibly good it will feel once I have accomplished my goal.
I imagine my own pride and excitement when I have completed the task and work towards those feelings. If I ever get discouraged, I continue to force myself to think about how badly I want to accomplish my goal.
I constantly remind myself of my desire and will to finish the job, even using visual reminders if I feel the need. I think of how rewarding the accomplishment will feel to me, especially after I have worked through the obstacles I faced.
I refuse to consider failure as an option, as focusing on negative outcomes only sucks away my motivation. As long as I stay positive and focused on the outcome of the task at hand, I am able to stay motivated.
